</center>
</p><p>
Came across this really cool Flash demo which shows how MS Outlook, <a href="http://www.cisco.com/go/meetingplace" target="_blank">Cisco MeetingPlace</a>, <a href="http://www.cisco.com/en/US/about/ciscoitatwork/news/031420051.html" target="_blank">Video Telephony-enabled</a> Cisco <a href="http://www.cisco.com/image/jpeg/en/us/guest/products/ps379/c1122/cdccont_0900aecd800add13.jpg" target="_blank">IP Phones</a> and <a href="http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/index.html" target="_blank">Cisco Call Managers</a> can hum along and make scheduling/attending meetings a breeze.
</p><p>
We definitely have a good suite of applications/products here. Believe it or not, we'll be competing in this space with a laundry list of companies. I am sure you've heard of atleast one of them - <a href="http://www.microsoft.com" target="_blank">Microsoft</a>..<img src="http://indrayam.com/images/wink.gif" align="middle">
</p><p>
Here's an <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/office/livecomm/prodinfo/topten.mspx" target="_blank">article</a> (with screenshot below) that talks about Microsoft's <b>Live Communications Server 2005</b> product:
</p><p>
<center><img src="http://indrayam.com/images/ms-communicator.gif" border="1"></center>
</p><p>
Two features that I really like about this product are:
</p>
<ol>
<li>It does not require a phone for audio conferencing! Audio integration is "software" based which I really think is the way to go (more on this in a previous <a href="http://indrayam.com/archives/services_and_software/000943.php" target="_blank">blog</a> entry of mine).
<li>Look at the integration between the IM like "MS Communicator" and Exchange calendaring! <b>Notice the status of Don Hall, where it says "Free until 2 pm"!</b> Pretty slick, isin't it?
</ol>
<p>
I am sure there are others - <a href="http://avaya.com" target="_blank">Avaya</a>, <a href="http://webex.com" target="_blank">Webex</a> or even <a href="http://skype.com" target="_blank">Skype</a> - who may in the end have the last laugh. However, there should be no second guessing on who would I be rooting for <img src="http://indrayam.com/images/wink.gif" align="middle">
