Memorial Day

I am not against the warriors. I salute thee. I salute your bravery. I salute your sacrifices. I salute the sacrifices of your familes and friends. What I am against are those who let their biases come in the way of sound judgment. Who sent you in harms way cause they had a personal itch. Who made mistakes, ignored them for as long as they could and had the audacity to blame anyone who tried pointing out the obvious. Now that they can’t hide from it anymore, these same people demand more sacrifices from you and your families for the sake of honoring the sacrifices of those before you. So, on this Memorial Day, while my heart is overcome with strong emotions thinking about our soldiers, I am also very angry at the Shylocks in Washington D.C.
